Conference photos are usually hotels and places where I eat/drink. I can’t get myself to do any touristy stuff unless I can walk to them.
Eclipse Experience
Although it stayed cloudy in Austin for the most part, we got the occasional peek at the sun during the eclipse including at 90% coverage. Nothing had prepared me for the totality, and it was definitely eerily darker than a cloudy date. The solar-powered street lamps and our landscaping lights turned on. The bird's chatter increased as it got closer to totality, but everything was silent for those two minutes. I literally got goosebumps from this effect on our world due to a rare celestial event. I'm happy to be testing yet another blogging platform. I plan not to duplicate any content here but might feed things I write here to my main microblog. Now I wonder if I can selectively cross-post from here, or is it all-or-nothing? Am I right in guessing that this does not have a timeline ergo it doesn't have a recommended character or word count? Does this thing have comments? Maybe not. So far I love the 'new post' interface.
